The Construction Business in YOUR Business and there are kids in need of your expertise! Will you jump in and help?

This year, we've all become acutely aware of how important spaces are. Quiet spaces. Safe spaces. Adaptive spaces. Inspiring spaces. For kids battling life-threatening illnesses, this has always been a necessity. But since it was not always a possibility, we got to work.

For almost six years now, KLH Group has been partnering with businesses to construct clubhouses for local children undergoing treatment for cancer and other diseases.

The compromised immune system of these kids limits exposure to other children – they are often stuck in an isolated loop between home and hospital. Today, and perhaps for the first time, many of us can identify with the toll such sequestration can take.

The uncontainable joy in delivering a precious, hand-crafted playspace to one of our “clubhouse kids” is the perfect cap on a day spent swinging hammers powered by hope. And it got us to thinking that the spring season – a time hallmarked by warmth and color – offers a beautiful backdrop for these build events. And this year, as companies grapple with the notion of celebrating as we hope to come out of this pandemic, we see a particularly fitting solution in a day or evening of team-building, safe socializing, and compassionate philanthropy.

As a breather from the off-site celebration for your teams, KLH Group will bring this impact event right to your headquarters or place of business. From a greenspace to a parking lot, we bring everything needed to transform any outdoor area into a fun, organized construction zone. And, of course, we are prudent in the process, providing the gear and game-plan to keep the event safe for every participant.

For three hours, and while enjoying libations, music, and artfulness, your team will craft a stunning clubhouse where the joys of childhood – uninhibited pretend play and imagination – can flourish.

Let us help you reclaim some of the control lost to the coronavirus… and harness your need to react not by hunkering and hoarding, but by assessing and addressing. And, in the meantime, find a way to celebrate that feels good. Because in each of our spaces, whatever they look like, we need that, too.

Shelter is, inarguably, a basic human need. Without it, we are exposed to the elements, physically vulnerable to the whims of our planet. And shelter does not simply cover a home - it is the safe harbor under which we conduct a preponderance of life's activities: work and worship, education and production, communing and healing. The creation of shelter is a necessary and noble vocation, to be sure - and we commend those who serve to provide it.

But just as the dignity of construction may get lost among the revised blueprints and stacks of two-by-fours, so, too, does the acknowledgment of shelter as not just a physical need, but an emotional one as well. This is especially true for the community of kids fighting cancer and other acute illness - exposed to adult-sized worry, and physically vulnerable to the slightest deviations from a strict medical protocol. For them, the sanctuary of a safe place to play is as critical to their little bodies as it is to their curious minds and spirited souls.

The clubhouses we build, in partnership with companies like yours, invite a return to carefree play and vibrant imagination. These are the things that, though not contained within four walls, shouldn't be sacrificed without them. In this case, the need for shelter is beyond basic. And we know that's where you do best.

Gather your crew, give us a call, and let's build a clubhouse!
